Single to Triple Strand Necklace

Single to Triple Strand Necklace

Project Sheet: cd913

Materials

• "Nicole: Glass Bead Strands" in Teal Mix (one strand)

• Small and large hematite cylinders from the gemstone strand table (one strand of each)

• "Darice: Jewelry Designer" 1 inch silver-lined, glass bugle beads (one pack)

• Silver-lined e-beads (one pack, any brand)

• Teal e-beads (one pack)

• Two "Beadalon" silver plated, 16 mm, twisted, solid rings (one pack)

• Silver clasp of choice with split ring

• Two silver crimp beads or crimp tubes

• Crimper tool and scissors

• "Beadalon" 19 strand wire in Bright Silver

Directions

1. String top layer of beads (on the triple-strand half of necklace) in pattern shown, using the bugle beads, hematite beads, and e-beads.

2. Attach one end to the twisted, silver ring and secure with a crimp bead using the crimper tool. Attach the other end to a second silver ring.

3. String the middle layer of beads (with the three larger, teal beads) and attach each side to the silver rings, underneath the top layer so that they don’t overlap when worn.

4. String the third, longest layer of beads and attach to silver rings, underneath both of the other strands. The bottom portion is now complete.

5. String the top, single strand of beads in pattern shown. Attach one end to the top of the silver ring and the other end to a clasp, securing both ends with a crimp bead.

6. String the other side and attach one end to the other silver ring and one to a split ring.
