Directions

  1. Paint the top and edges of each block with metallic gold paint. Let dry.
  2. While waiting for the paint to dry, cut "3x4 Journaling Cards" paper into seven 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" size square pieces.
  3. Cut "Merry Mint Floral" paper into two 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" size square pieces.
  4. When the paint is dry, prepare the wood blocks for image transfer by sanding the blocks smooth.
  5. At this point decide which two blocks to use as the bottom blocks and the other as the top block to create a triangle shape.
  6. The green Christmas tree side of "3x4 Journaling Cards" paper is the side to transfer to the blocks. This image is transferred to the front and each side of the top block; front and left side of the bottom left block; and front and right side of the bottom right block.
  7. Apply the Gel Medium to the green Christmas tree square and put the right side down to the face of the block, one at a time until all seven square pieces are used. Make sure to lightly smooth from the center outwards to release any captured air bubbles.
  8. Repeat the same process on the backside of the blocks with the two square pieces of "Merry Mint Floral" paper and a photocopy of your photo.
  9. Wait 24 hours to dry.
  10. Wet a rag with water and begin dampening the backside of your images. After they are moistened begin rubbing with light pressure until you see the images.
  11. Allow the surface to dry and repeat the wet and rubbing steps to remove the paper.
  12. Once competed allow to dry  completely. Apply the vinyl words on the front side of the blocks according to the package instructions.
  13. Seal the blocks with a coat of Mod Podge.
  14. Wrap the blocks with a ribbon and tie a bow on the top block.
  15. Glue the Pick on the top block.
  16. Display.
