Project Sheet: cd362

Materials

• ¼ yd. Burlap

• Red felt

• Green felt

• Hot Glue

Directions

1. With burlap folded in half (folded end facing up, as this will be the handle), lay your wine bottle on to the burlap.

2. Fold the fabric up to decide how much you will need to fully enclose the bottle as well as extra to glue the burlap together. Then measure to approximately 7-8" wide and cut this strip of fabric.

3. Lay wine bottle out on the burlap again with the top of the bottle about 1-2" below the folded edge. Trim bottom of bag leaving approximately 1-2" from the bottom.

4. Open up folded fabric but mark where the fold was. From the fold measure down approximately 5" and run a bead of hot glue, down the side, along the bottom, and back up the other side leaving a 5" gap to the top (same as previous side).

5. Fold fabric back down, align and press into glue. Allow to dry.

6. Once glue is dry, turn sack inside out, so the glued seams are in the inside.

7. Cut a 1" strip of red felt the long way down the sheet. Fold in half (short end to short end) and secure with glue. Curl up the fabric on one end and keeping curling, hot gluing as you go to make the flower.

8. Cut 2 leaves out of the green felt.

9. Use hot glue to apply flowers and leaves to the bag.

10. Fill with your favorite bottle of wine!
