Materials

• (4) 5x5 MDF tiles -CAL/551
• 8mm Half Round Black Eyes -Darice
• Fine point Sharpie Marker
• Ultra Seal or Mod Podge
• 1” circle punch
• Vinyl –Mini Jack O’ Lantern face – Vinyl Words
• Small piece of chipboard
• Small glue dots
• Paper Cardstock
    -Spider = black
    -Pumpkin = orange & lime green
    -Dracula= light purple, dark purple & white
    -Frankenstein= lime green& black
• Acrylic Paint
    -Ceramcoat – Black, Lilac
    -Americana – Olive Green, Tangerine
• Paint brush
• Optional: display with easel or attach ribbon for hanging

Directions

1. Paint tiles desired color for the character you wish to make and allow to dry. You made need to apply a second coat.
2. Cut character’s face color to fit front of tile, approx. 5.25”x5.25”. For the spider cut 2.
3. Use Ultra Seal or Mod Podge to adhere paper to front of tile and allow to dry.
4. For Frankenstein & Dracula, use a scissor to cut out the shape of their hair. If you feel more comfortable you can draw it out on the backside of your paper before you cut. Use Ultra Seal or mod podge to adhere to the tile.
5. For the spider, cut out 8 legs 1/2”x2”. Use Ultra Seal or Mod Podge to adhere the legs on the back of the tile in desired position, then adhere the second 5.25” square you cut over the top.
6. For the pumpkin, cut a stem out of the chipboard and a leaf from the lime green paper. Adhere to back of tile using Ultra Seal or Mod Podge.
7. Apply vinyl jack o’ lantern face to pumpkin following instructions on package.
8. Using your 1” circle punch, punch out out two eyes for each character excluding the pumpkin, from the white cardstock.
9. Use Ultra Seal and adhere eyes to tiles.
10. Use small glue dots and apply half round eyes to center of each white circle.
11. Use your Sharpie pen to draw a mouth on Dracula and a mouth and scar on Frankenstein.
12. Cut 2 small white triangles from white paper and adhere to Dracula’s mouth as teeth.
13. Use easel to display or attach a ribbon to the backside to hang.
