Clay Pots Windchime

Project Sheet: cd548

Materials

• 4 different size clay pots

• Hemp twine

• Americana Paint 2 oz. tubes (4 colors)

• 2 Bead strands

• Single large bead

• Flower/greenery bush

Directions

1. Paint pots any colors of your choosing. Depending on the color, multiple layers may be necessary.

2. Let paint dry for 2 hours.

3. Loop hemp twine around biggest pot securely.

4. Have twine from biggest pot lead through the bottom hole. Here you can start stringing beads onto twine.

5. After a few beads are added, the next pot should be strung through. To keep the pot in place, add a bead directly under the pot and tie a knot. This way the knot keeps the bead in place which keeps the pot in place.

6. Add more beads so that they collide with the pot in the wind.

7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 until all pots are used.

8. After the last pot, put your beads on as usual and add a bottom last bead as a weight.

9. Fill the top pot with floral or greenery. A foam block for silk flowers/greenery will likely be necessary to keep it in place or real flowers can be planted instead!
