Directions

  1. Paint all four edges with Metallic Peridot paint. Let dry.
  2. Trim Deck the Halls paper to the size of the plaque as the background and adhere using Mod Podge.
  3. Create the house by cutting Border Strips paper to one 12" x 6" piece and two 1/2" width border strips.
  4. Create the roof by cutting Red/ Woodgrain paper to a 3 1/2" x 12" piece and mark the center of the 12" side in pencil. Draw a straight line from the center point to the bottom corners creating a triangle for a roof and cut out.
  5. Cut Red/ Woodgrain paper to a 3" x 1" strip for a chimney.
  6. Arrange the roof, chimney, and house together. Put one border strip between the roof and the house and other border strip at the bottom of the house. The bottom strip should not be glued down all the way so that a photo can slip through.
  7. Secure the whole house with some tape in the back.
  8. Cut out the Merry Christmas banner from Border Strips paper and glue to the top of the house.
  9. Wrap twine around the top of the house and tie a bow on the left side. Glue a clothespin to 3" from the left on the twine to clip a photo.
  10. Apply vinyl (as shown in the picture) following the instructions in the package.
  11. Glue the completed house onto the plaque.
  12. Insert photo in the clothespin when dry and display.
