Materials

• Unfinished suitcase

• 12x12 coordinating papers

• Paint

• Ultra Seal

• Burlap

• Ribbon

• Diecut Letters

• Hot glue

 

Directions

1. Start by painting the entire suitcase with the color of paint chosen to match the 12x12 papers. Allow to dry.

2. Choose a 12x12 paper and use Ultra Seal to apply it to the front of the case.

3. Choose 2- 12x12 papers and apply one to each of the insides of the case.

4. Use coordinating papers to embellish the front and insides by ripping sections of them and applying them with Ultra Seal.

5. Cut a 30" x 2" strip of burlap. Twist the burlap and then starting at one end, wrap the twist into a spiral securing the end with hot glue.

6. Use hot glue to adhere the burlap flower onto the front of the case.

7. Use a piece of coordinating paper to make a leaf for the flower and apply using hot glue.

8. Lay a 2 ft. piece of ribbon flat on work surface. Use die cuts letters that spell out "CARDS" and glue each letters onto the ribbon (in the center of the ribbon).

9. Use hot glue to adhere the ribbon to the inside of the upper lid of suitcase. The letters should hang.

10. Use additional ribbon to make 2 small bows and use hot glue to adhere to each side where hanging ribbon is attached.
