Directions

  1. Trace and cut out medium plaque, from Wine Vintage Dot paper.
  2. Apply a thin coat of Mod Podge to one side of the medium plaque covering the entire surface. Place dot side of Wine Vintage Dot paper face down onto plaque, smooth out any  air bubbles using scraper.
  3. Apply an even coat of Mod Podge over the top of the paper covered plaque and let dry.
  4. From remaining Wine Vintage dot paper, cut 12" strips to fit the width of the slats.
  5. Cover the second, forth and sixth slats with Wine Vintage Dot paper strips. Working on one slat at a time, adhere paper using a thin layer of Mod Podge on wood slat, apply paper dot side up, smooth out using scraper. For the fourth slat, we left a gap in the middle where the plaque overlaps the slat.
  6. Sand edges of paper covered slats so paper is flush with edge.  Also sand edges of medium plaque.
  7. Cut the word family from the vinyl saying. Following instructions on vinyl packaging, apply 'family" vinyl to the paper covered plaque, leaving room above and below it for the remaining vinyl but you will apply those in another step.
  8. Paint the paper covered plaque Linen, painting over the family vinyl. Apply a second coat if needed, letting dry between coats.
  9. Remove family vinyl from plaque. Apply the remaining vinyl saying to the plaque.
  10. Sand edges of plaque for a distress look.
  11. With hangers at the top on backside adhere the plaque to the center of the pallet using Mod Podge. Let dry.
  12. Attach clips to the pallet using thumb tacks, only placing it though the hole on the back side of clip. See photo for placement of clips.
  13. Insert photos into the clips and display.
